About Chapter 12
These conditions affect the skin or the tissue just beneath it. The chapter groups them by the kind of condition or what part of the skin is involved.
Separate groups cover infections, blistering disorders, dermatitis and eczema, and papulosquamous disorders, which involve raised, scaly skin. Other groups cover hives and skin redness, radiation-related disorders, and disorders of hair, nails, and skin glands.
Complications during or after a procedure have their own group. A final group covers other disorders of the skin and the tissue beneath it.
